London, 24 October – The son of former leading regime member has been tried in the Special Clerical Court (SCC) on national security charges and not allowed a defence lawyer.
Ahmad Montazeri, the son of Ayatollah Hossein-Ali Montazeri (former Deputy Supreme Leader), was tried last Wednesday for publishing an audio file earlier this year which revealed that the Iranian Regime was responsible for the 1988 Iranian massacre which claimed 30,000 lives.

London, 22 October – A prominent British politician has given a speech about American’s big mistake regarding Iran, at the University of California- Berkeley.
Struan Stevenson, President of the European Iraqi Freedom Association (EIFA), said that the West made the mistake of thinking that the Regime is strong but really, it is quite vulnerable.
He said that if the West had come down stronger on them during last year’s nuclear deal, we may have been able to replace the Regime with its democratic alternative.

London, 19 October – The seventy-five-year-old Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has ruled the Islamic Republic of Iran for almost twenty-five years. As The Guardian reports, his time in office will expire only on the day he dies. Recent news concerning his health has sparked debates over who will succeed his place in office.
Iran’s Center for Statistics states that unemployment is roughly 25% among young people; an increase of 2.5% in the past year.
The Iranian Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Ali Rabiei, warned back in 2014 that if the economic growth did not reach at least 7% per year, that Iran would not be able to “curb unemployment”.
The Mayor of Montreal is revealed to have secretly visited Iran to meet the Mayor of Tehran.
This trip was not revealed via the website of Montreal Mayor, Denis Coderre, which details his trips to Iraq and South America, but via the Iranian Press.
Canadian-Iranians are reported to be furious that Coderre has met with a member of a regime that Canada designates a state sponsor of terrorism.
