London, 13 October – While Western Governments negotiate trade deals with Iran; Iranian prisoners have spoken out about the abuse and torture they have suffered under the Regime, from members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), intelligence officers and members of the government militia group Basiji.
Dozens of British law makers and MEPs, issued a statement in support of the international movement to obtain justice for the victims of the 1988 Massacre of political prisoners in Iran. In this statement they call for the trial of the perpetrators of this crime against humanity.

London, 10 October – Shahriar Kia, a political analyst and human rights activist, called for the Iranian regime to be held accountable for the crimes it has committed. The 14th World Day Against Death Penalty is held on 10th October and people will celebrate that several countries abolished the death penalty during 2015.
However, Kia says that we need to raise awareness about the countries that still use the death penalty, one of which is Iran. Over the past year more than 1,000 people have been executed in the country.

London, 10 October – The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) writes on October 9 that the Iranian regime has attempted to increase repression in universities in reaction to the publication of the photograph of the NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi in the alumni magazine of Sharif Industrial University.
“…the publishers of (Mrs. Rajavi’s) photo at Sharif University were dealt with,” reported the state-run media and news agencies. Many of the news agencies are affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), the Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS) and other military and security agencies. They reported, as well, that “all the activities of the alumni’s association on campus have been ordered to be suspended,” the association “has been sealed up”, and “all copies of the said magazine have been collected.”

London, 8 October – On October 7, Shahriar Kia, press spokesman for residents of Camp Liberty, Iraq, and members of the People’s Mujahedin Organization of Iran opposition group (PMOI, also known as MEK), wrote for NewsMaxWorld about the challenges the next President of the United States will face, especially in regards to Iran.

London, 8 October – On October 7, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) published an article about the Canadian press conference of October 6, where Members of Parliament, representative of the Iranian-Canadian community, and eyewitnesses to the 1988 massacre urged the government of Canada to implement a motion adopted by parliament in 2013, condemning the massacre of political prisoners. It also expressed solidarity with political prisoners being held in Iranian jails today.

During the Presidential Debates on Monday, September 26, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump discussed the 2015 nuclear deal and the trouble caused by Iranian boats in the Persian Gulf.

London, 7 October – According to Frances Martel’s October 4 article in Breitbart News, during Tuesday’s vice-presidential debate, Tim Kaine, the Democratic candidate, talked about the nuclear deal with Iran, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPoA).
“I conclude that the JCPoA is a dramatic improvement over the status quo in improving global security,” he said, and he asked, “Did you know Iran was racing toward a nuclear weapon and Russia was expanding its stockpile?”
