November 11th marks the anniversary of the execution of Ehsan Fattahian, a Kurdish activists and freedom fighter arrested by the Iranian regime. Ehsan’s life was noteworthy, particularly because of his defiance against the Iranian regime, and his dedication to the struggle for the freedom of Kurds and all Iranians. His legacy is significant as a representation of the sacrifices made by those who stand up to this regime and put their ideals and beliefs before their own self preservation.

Bahrain jails five for Iran linked militancy

London, 6 Nov – Five Bahrainis were convicted on Thursday of conspiring with Iran to carry out attacks inside Bahrain, sentenced to life imprisonment and stripped of their citizenship, Bahrain’s Public Prosecutor was cited as saying by the state news agency BNA.

On Wednesday, the interior ministry said it had arrested 47 members of a group it said had ties to “terror elements in Iran” and was also plotting attacks.

Seven Sunnis at risk of imminent execution in Iran

London, 5 Nov – Reports received from inside Iran prisons on Tuesday indicate that Tehran is about to execute seven Sunni prisoners, National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) reported in its website.

These seven are held in Gohardasht (Rajai-Shahr) Prison in the city of Karaj, north-west of Tehran. The death-row prisoners are: Taleb Maleki, Kaveh Waissi, Pouriya Mohammadi, Kaveh Sharifi, Mohammad Yavar Rahimi, Bahman Rahimi and Haidar Rashidi.

London, 5 Nov – United States Senator John McCain (R-AZ), Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, has sent a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry expressing deep concern about the reported attack on Iranian dissidents, members of the main opposition group People’s Mojahedin (PMOI, or MEK) at Camp Liberty, Iraq on 29 October that killed more than 20 residents and injured dozens more, McCain’s website reported on Wednesday.

In numerous letters, press releases and statements we had alerted the USA government, the UN and the EU that the Iraqi government is not a competent entity to be responsible for the security of this camp and that as such, the refugees interned within this ‘death-camp’ were in imminent danger.
