Iran Deal Should Have Addressed Terrorism Concerns

Iran Focus

London, 9 Nov – Last week, the CIA released nearly half a million al-Qaeda documents that had been seized during the 2011 Navy SEAL raid on Osama bin Laden’s Pakistan compound; many documenting the clear link between the terrorist cell and the Iranian Regime.

The 2011 mission, hailed as a success for eliminating Bin Laden and the uncovering of an incredible amount of intelligence on the terrorist group, is now being heavily questioned because the US failed to address the highly concerning relationship between Iran and terrorism before the 2015 nuclear deal was put in place.

London, 9 Nov – Iran’s largest “private” airline company is actually being run by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and its militant Qods Force, according to a new report by the Iranian Resistance.

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) stated that Mahan Air, dubbed Iran’s largest commercial airliner, is far from private or commercial. In fact, the airline company is a tool for the Iranian Regime’s interference across the Middle East, including supplying arms to proxy terrorist groups like Hezbollah, and transporting troops into Syria to fight on behalf of the Bashar Assad dictatorship.

The US Must Support Saudi Arabia to Defeat Iran

London, 9 Nov – Saudi Arabia has blamed Iran for an attempted ballistic missiles attack on Riyadh International Airport over the weekend, saying that such a move could be considered an “act of war”.

The news of the attempted attack came on Sunday, after the Saudis had intercepted a missile in their airspace using their US-made defence system. They said that the missile was launched by Iran-backed Houthis in rebels neighbouring Yemen.

On Monday, the Saudis said that Iran had directly supplied the Houthis with the missile and called it “a blatant act of military aggression”.

At the same time as the attempted attack on Saudi Arabia, Saudi ally and Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri gave a shock resignation speech live from Riyadh, revealing that he feared the Iranian Regime and their Lebanese puppets Hezbollah would assassinate him if he remained in office, as they did his father, Rafik, in 2005.

London, 9 Nov – The US has accused Iran of violating international law by supplying the Houthi terrorist group with ballistic missiles that were fired at Saudi Arabia over the weekend and vowed not to “turn a blind eye to these serious violations”.

Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the UN, said on Tuesday: “By providing these types of weapons to the Houthi militias in Yemen, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps is violating two UN resolutions simultaneously. We encourage the UN and international partners to take the necessary action to hold the Iranian regime accountable.”

The Houthis in Yemen, who actually launched the missile, said that their ballistic missiles had a range of 1,500km and threatened to attack more cities in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Iranians on Trial for Breaching International Sanctions on Technology Shipments

Iran Focus

London, 9 Nov – Two Iranian citizens remain in jail in the US and Australia while awaiting trial for breaching international sanctions by supplying echnology for use in weapon guidance systems to Iranian companies Fanavari Moj Khavar (Fana Moj) and its subsidiary, Rastafann Ertebat Engineering Company, from 2010-2012.

In mid-October, these companies were placed on the US Treasury Department’s list of Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list for supporting Iran’s military, including the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Naval Defense Missile Industry Group (Cruise Missile Industry Group).

How Saudi Arabia Is Confronting Iran in the Middle East

Iran Focus

London, 9 Nov – Saudi Arabia is increasing its confrontation of the Iranian Regime on serval fronts across the Middle East but so far, it has failed to stop Iran’s malign interference in any major ways.

The biggest and boldest parts of this policy come from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who has launched a military campaign against Iranian proxy group, the Houthis, in Yemen and confronted Qatar over its ties with Iran, which led to a blockade of the small country earlier this year.

Cutting Treasury Funding May Decrease Ability to Institute Iran Sanctions

Iran Focus

London, 9 Nov – The US may slash funding from the US Treasury Department in order to increase defence spending to tackle America’s ever-increasing foreign policy challenges from the Iranian Regime to ISIS to North Korea, but here’s why that may be counterintuitive.

The US Treasury’s Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence (TFI), which has been the first port of call for the last three presidents when faced with a new crisis, has immense powers when it comes to imposing sanctions on individuals, group, companies, banks, and even countries.

We Must Create Proxy Militias to Fight Iran

Iran Focus

London, 7 Nov – No one wants an all-out war with Iran, but that is what we are heading towards at an alarming rate as the Iranian Regime expands its power over the Middle East.

Just in the last week, the Iranian Regime allowed its proxy terror cell the Houthis to launch a ballistic missile on Saudi Arabia, caused the Lebanese prime minister Saad Hariri to resign in fear for his life, and been exposed as a key ally of al Qaeda.

These developments cannot be separated from Iran’s consistent involvement in regional conflicts (Lebanon, Syria and Iraq, among others) to the detriment of diplomacy and democracy. The Iranian Regime refuses to withdraw their troops (including proxy militias) from Syria, as they did with Iraq until recently and invaded Kurdistan after the Kurdish people voted for independence.

London, 7 Nov – It has been discovered that the Iranian Qods force, a more militant wing of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) that was sanctioned by the US for terrorism, has been operating one of its entities as a private company, according to a study by the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

The study found that Mahan Air Corporation has had extensive relationships with the Iranian Regime since its first days- even using government facilities to launch and expand its company. It is not merely working with the IRGC and the Qods but it fully owned and operated by them.

Now Is the Time to Get Tough on Iran

Iran Focus

London, 7 Nov – The US needs to get tough on the Iranian Regime now, before the mullahs can target any more of the US’s interests in the Middle East.

The Iranian Regime needs little prompting to act against the US; in 2017 alone they’ve helped their proxy terrorist groups to fire upon Saudi Arabia, tried to murder Americans, attacked Iraq, Israel, Lebanon, and Syria, and support terrorist cells like the Taliban.

Only last week we learnt of the extensive relationship between the Iranian Regime and al Qaeda, which included providing money, training, and safe passage to the terrorists prior to 9/11 and then hiding high-ranking members (including Osama Bin Laden’s son) from American authorities afterwards.
