The Iranian People Are Regime’s Achilles ‘ Heel

Iran Focus

London, 7 Nov – Iran has been a destructive force in the Middle East for decades, using proxy militias like Hezbollah, Hashd al-Shaabi, and Hamas to destabilise the region in order to gain eventual control, but since the recent Iraqi Kurdish independence referendum, the Regime has become even more blatant.

They are promoting strife in Iraq (by encouraging the Iraqi government to go after the Kurds) and showing the US how much influence Iran has over the Iraqi government by having Qasem Soleimani, the head of the Quds force (a militant branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, IRGC), appear in photos of the siege, after US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson told the Iran-backed militants to “go home”.

CIA Documents Prove Link Between Iran and Al-Qaeda

Iran Focus

London, 6 Nov – A strong relationship between the Iranian Regime and Al-Qaeda has long been suspected, but recently released documents, seized during the 2011 raid on Osama bin Laden’s Pakistan complex, confirm it.

The documents, released last week by the CIA, show a long history between the leading state sponsor of terrorism and the terror cell dating all the way back to the early 1990s.

Many who seem surprised about this mutual relationship are hung up on the Sunni/ Shiite ideological divide between the terrorist group and the rogue nation, but instead of focusing on their differences, experts should focus on what they had to offer the other.

London, 6 Nov – The Iranian Regime has claimed that Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s resignation is part of a plot to “create tension in Lebanon and the entire region”, shortly after being blamed for his decision to resign.

During his unexpected resignation speech, made during a visit to Saudi Arabia on Saturday, the Sunni politician blamed the Iranian Regime’s meddling in Lebanon, specifically through its proxy terror group Hezbollah, for his decision.

Hariri, who had been in office for less than a year, stated that the Iranian Regime is responsible for “disorder and destruction” in Lebanon and across the Middle East.

Iran Sentences Mother Asking Questions About Son’s Murder During 2009 Peaceful Protests

Iran Focus

London, 6 Nov – The Iranian Regime has slapped the grieving mother of a murdered political activist with a year in jail, plus a ban on political activity, travelling abroad and social media membership, in order to silence her from speaking out about her son’s death.

Shahnaz Akmali, who lost her son Mostafa Karimbeigi during a 2009 political protest, has been sentenced for “propaganda against the state” by the 26th Branch of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court in order to stop her from seeking the truth about her son’s death, according to the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran.

The propaganda charge is something that the Regime will often levy against people who have actually committed no crime in order to silence them, which generally means that the Regime is hiding something.

London, 5 Nov – Questions regarding the number of dual American and foreign nationals who have been found to be evading the United States sanctions law, and conducting business in Iran, are growing. The Treasury sanctions apply to both U.S. citizens and U.S. residents, but several U.S. persons with dual citizenships who have been found in violation of sanctions have been arrested and tried in recent years.

It has also been reported that individuals and companies illegally bypass U.S. Sanctions by opening businesses in a country that is not listed on the United States Treasury Department’s sanctions list to do business with Iran.

The CIA released a large number of documents earlier this week. The documents were seized during the raid on a compound in Pakistan in May 2011 during which the leader of al-Qaeda, Osama bin Laden, was killed. The documents included images and computer files and are evidence of links between the terrorist group and Iran.

Iran is known to support numerous terrorist organisations, proxy groups and militias and it appears that al-Qaeda can be added to that list.

Earlier this week, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declared the United States as Iran’s number one enemy. His speech was televised on state TV and he slammed American hostility towards the Islamic Republic, accusing it of bullying.

He ironically accused U.S. President Donald Trump of supporting terrorism in the Middle East.

Khamenei said that Iran will never give in to the pressure coming from the United States with regards to the 2015 nuclear deal.

Iranian Media Make Fake Claims That Regime Is Force for Good

Iran Focus

London, 4 Nov – Iranian state-run media praised the Regime this week for its supposed constructive force in the Middle East and bringing hope to the young people of Iran. They especially lauded President Hassan Rouhani as a ‘moderate’ in the Middle East and North Africa.

Let’s break down why that is wrong.

A destructive force

The Iranian Regime is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism and funds proxy groups across the Middle East, including Hezbollah, Hamas, and Al Qaeda, in order to destabilise the region and depose leaders so that it can take advantage of the power vacuum.

NIAC Caught Lying Again About Iran and Trump

Iran Focus

London, 4 Nov – Yet again, the Iranian Regime’s personal cheerleaders have gotten their facts wrong about Donald Trump and the Iranian Regime.

The National Iranian American Council (NIAC) are specialists in making excuses for past and present crimes of the Iranian Regime and promises that the future will bring change but the change never comes and the lies continue in full.

NIAC research director, Reza Marashi, wrote a piece for Al-Monitor in which he claims that Trump’s latest moves against Iran may have actually aided President Hassan Rouhani.
