Tehran, Iran, Oct. 27 – Iran’s Foreign Minister said on Friday it was illogical for Tehran to suspend its uranium enrichment activities, despite having been ordered to do so by the United Nations Security Council.

“Iran’s positions on the nuclear issue are clear. The Islamic Republic of Iran sees no logic [to carry out”> a suspension”, Manouchehr Mottaki told the state-run news agency ISNA.

“We are prepared to explain during talks and negotiations that the issue of suspension is illogical”, Mottaki said.

“We will not accept a pre-condition for negotiations”, he said, adding, “If a pre-condition is to be set in negotiations we will be first to announce it”.
