London, 26 Apr – Soon the US will once again begin ramping up pressure on Iran, which has lagged considerably over the past eight years.

While Donald Trump may not be quite ready to tear up the nuclear deal, which gave Iran considerable sanctions relief in exchange for stopping Iran’s nuclear weapons programme (which notably has not stopped the Iranian Regime’s programme at all), he may be ready to target the Gulf nation in other ways.

US Destroyer Forced to Alter Course in Persian Gulf Due to Provocative Iranian Vessel

London, 26 Apr – A US destroyer was forced to alter its course in the Persian Gulf after it encountered a ship owned by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) which was acting provocatively, on Monday.

Lt. Ian McConnaughey, a spokesman for the Bahrain-based 5th Fleet, said that the Iranian vessel had its weapons manned and came within approximately 1,000 yards of the USS Mahan.

London, 25 Apr – Iran could soon achieve real positive change, if the US re-aligns itself with the Iranian Resistance forces, according to the political director of a non-profit that works to promote human rights and democracy in Iran.

Dr Majid Sadeghpour, from the Organization of Iranian-American Communities (OIACUS), wrote an op-ed for The Hill arguing that the Trump administration has made the right decision on holding the Iranian Regime to account for its use of ballistic weapons but pleaded with them to go further.

London, 25 Apr – The Iranian Election is drawing ever closer and people all over the globe are speculating what change this will bring for relations with the middle-eastern country, but they are wrong to expect any change from the Iranian Regime.

Obama Freed Iranians Who Posed a National Security Risk?

London, 25 Apr – The Obama administration reportedly released seven Iranians who posed a national security risk to the United States in order to get the 2015 nuclear deal agreed.

The Obama administration overruled prosecutors and lawyers in order to free these people who were charged as part of a weapons-procurement ring. They claimed that the prisoners had merely violated economic sanctions; although considering that money funnelled to Iran funds terrorism and repression, surely that’s bad enough.

Iran Regime Rejects British Woman’s Final Appeal

London, 25 Apr – The final appeal of a British-Iranian woman falsely charged with attempting to overthrow the dictatorship in Iran has been rejected.

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, who works for the charitable foundation Thomson Reuters Foundation, was arrested last April when she took her daughter, Gabriella, to celebrate Nowruz (Iranian New Year) with her family.

Iran Regime Fields Human Rights Abuser as Candidate for President

London, 24 Apr – The Iranian Regime has put a notorious human rights abuser on the ballot for their upcoming Presidential elections; proving that there is no moderate faction within the Regime.

Ebrahim Raisi, a member of the Death Commissions which sent 30,000 political prisoners, mainly members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK), to their death in 1988, announced his candidacy last week.
