IRAN: Unemployment rate has risen by 1.5% in the second quarter of 2016

Iran’s Center for Statistics states that unemployment is roughly 25% among young people; an increase of 2.5% in the past year.

The Iranian Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Ali Rabiei, warned back in 2014 that if the economic growth did not reach at least 7% per year, that Iran would not be able to “curb unemployment”.
