Iran’s Supreme Leader and Anti-MEK Movie

On July 15th state media in Iran fully covered the remarks of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei about a movie called, “The Adventure of Midday”.

Following the ignominy of this movie which was produced against the People’s Mujahedin Organization of Iran ( PMOI/MEK), the news agency of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) released the news about the meeting of Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei with film producers which depicts Khamenei’s role in the production of this movie. The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) was also involved in the production of the movie in February/March 2017.

British MP Criticises Foreign Office for Not Working Hard Enough to Obtain Release of Dual National Held Hostage in Iran

London, 18 Jul – A British MP has criticised the Foreign Office over its reluctance to help the British-Iranian charity worker who has been held hostage in an Iranian jail for over a year.

Labour MP Tulip Siddiq revealed that there is effectively a two-tier system within the Foreign Office, which means that dual nationals like Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe are given less priority than solely British nationals like her three-year-old daughter Gabriella, who is also stuck in Iran after her passport was confiscated.

Van Buren: I Tried to Warn the US About Iran but No One Wanted to Admit the War Had Failed

London, 18 Jul – Author and Political Commentator Peter Van Buren, wrote an op-ed for the American Conservative in which he discusses how he constantly warned about the dangers posed by the Iranian Regime but was ignored by the media.

He was inspired by a recent New York Times article with stated that Iran is the big winner of the US-Iraq wars since 1991, and noted that Iran had been able to seize control over Iraq and other areas in the Middle East once the US has relinquished powers.

IRGC Threatens US Troops If Terrorist Designation Goes Ahead

London, 18 Jul – The Iranian Regime’s personal terror squad, the Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), have threatened to attack US troops in the Middle East if the US goes ahead with the designation of the IRGC as a foreign terrorist organisation (FTO).

Major General Mohammad Baqeri, a senior commander in the IRGC, threatened that if the designation goes ahead and further sanctions are applied, then it would be dangerous for US troops in the Middle East.

The US Certifies Iran Is in Compliance With Nuke Deal Despite Evidence to the Contrary

London, 18 Jul – The US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has certified, for the second time this year that the Iranian Regime is in compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal despite mounting evidence to the contrary.

Senior officials in the Donald Trump administration have said that both Trump and Tillerson are certifying that the Regime is legally complying with the nuclear deal while defaulting on the spirit of the agreement.

Former Iran’s Intelligence Minister Admits 1988 Massacre of Political Prisoner

London, 18 Jul – The former intelligence minister of Iran has admitted that former Supreme Leader Ruhollah Khomeini ordered the executions of 30,000 political prisoners affiliated with the Iranian Resistance group, People’s Mojahedin Organisation of Iran (PMOI or MEK) in the summer of 1988.

Ali Fallahian, gave an interview to the Regime-affiliated Tarikh Online website on July 9, in which he acknowledged that Khomeini had announced a fatwa calling for the extermination of all those affiliated with the MEK.

Another Dual National Held Hostage in Iran

London, 17 Jul – An Iranian court has sentenced a grad student from Princeton University to 10 years in jail on charges of espionage, in the latest case of the Iranian Regime imprisoning dual nationals on bogus national security charges.

Xiyue Wang, 37, was accused of “spying under the cover of research”, according to Mizan, the Iranian judiciary’s official news site.

Former US Ambassador: Iran Must Not Be Allowed to Get Away With Non-Compliance With Nuclear Deal

London, 17 Jul – The Trump administration must stop giving Iran a pass on its non-compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal, according to a former undersecretary of state for arms control and international security affairs.

John R. Bolton, a former US ambassador to the United Nations, wrote an op-ed for The Hill in which he questioned the State Department’s rumoured decision to report that Iran is compliant with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), signed by the UN Security Council’s five permanent members and Germany in 2015, despite clear evidence to the contrary.

Giuliani: Iran Is Bigger Threat to the US Than North Korea or Russia

London, 17 Jul – The former Mayor of New York, Rudy Giuliani, warned that Iran is the greatest threat to the USA right now, during a conference in Paris earlier this month.

During the annual Free Iran Gathering, organised by the People’s Mojahedin Organisation of Iran (PMOI), Giuliani said that the Iranian Regime posed a greater threat than both North Korea’s Kim Jong-un and Russia’s Vladimir Putin.
