If the US decides to add the IRGC to the terror list, it will likely increase the hostility between the two countries, whose relationship has been waning since Trump took office.

New rounds of peace talks in Syrian Civil War

London, 16 Feb – The Syrian Civil War, which has been raging for nearly seven years, has earned two new rounds of peace talks, which will hopefully end the war.

The first talk will be held on February 16 in Astana, Kazakhstan. The two-day talk is expected to build on the talks held there in January between Syrian Governmental allies Russia and Iran, and Syrian Opposition supporters Turkey.

Two days later, The White House extended sanctions against the Gulf country to include 25 more companies and individuals.

London, 15 Feb – The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has at least 14 terrorist training camps in Iran; for that reason, and so much more, the US must place them on the list of foreign terror organisations.

The terror training camp complex was revealed on February 14, by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) in Washington DC.

Lebanon’s President wants to act as mediator between Iran and other Gulf nations

London, 15 Feb – Lebanese President Michel Aoun has implied that he will try to act as a mediator between Iran and the other Gulf states during an interview earlier this week.

Saudi journalist Mshari Al Thaydi wants to know who exactly, Aoun thinks is in need of mediation; in an op-ed for Asharq Al-Awsat, he noted that the Iranian Regime and the other Gulf states have problems because of Iran’s interventionist and repressive policies.

Swedish Scientist to face death penalty in Iran

London, 15 Feb – European governments are protesting the treatment of a Swedish scientist by the Iranian Regime.

Dr. Ahmadreza Djalali, a physician who specialises in disaster medicine, was arrested without a warrant, last year in Iran, and faces the death penalty.

Dr. Djalali, who has taught at universities in Belgium, Italy and Sweden, had arrived in Iran last April for a conference and was arrested by the Regime for “collaboration with enemy states”.

London, 15 Feb – The Iranian Regime is running a terrorist training organisation, which includes at least 14 camps across Iran, according to the Iranian Resistance.

On Tuesday morning, the American branch of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) held a press conference on the revelations from its Washington DC office.

Alireza Jafarzadeh, the Deputy Director of the US Representative Office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, told journalists that the Iranian Regime (and its own terror squad, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)) was training hundreds of terrorists from across the middle-east every month.
