London, 8 September – This year marks it the 28th anniversary of the Iranian Massacre; an atrocity so huge that it accounted for the largest slaughter of political prisoners since WW2, and yet, it is again marked with silence from those at the head of the regime.

London, 7 September – The names of 59 senior Iranian officials suspected of involvement in the 1988 massacre were released by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) on September 6.

The massacre was the largest execution of political prisoners since WW2 with the loss of over 30,000 people, mainly from the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK).

London, 7 September – At least two more senior Iranian officials have been implicated in the 1988 massacre which killed 30,000 political prisoners, according to CNS News.

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and former president, Hashemi Rafsanjani, have joined the likes of Justice Minister, Mostafa Pourmohammadi, and Ali Fallahian, who sits on the Assembly of Experts, in being accused of orchestrating and carrying out the mass murders.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) have been investigating the people who were involved in the crimes and uncovered almost 60 people who are still in the government today.
