British politicians, dignitaries, and activists gathered in London on Saturday to call on the UK government to lead the world in setting up an independent committee to investigate the 1988 Iranian massacre, in which 30,000 political prisoners were executed, and bring those responsible to justice.

London, 5 Sep – Amnesty International launched a campaign to stop the Iranian Regime from destroying one of the mass graves in which some of the over 30,000 victims of the 1988 massacre are buried.
The grave in question, located in the southern city of Ahvaz, is of immediate concern because construction near the area has already begun and Amnesty is concerned about losing evidence which could bring the murderers, who are still being sheltered by the Regime, to justice.

London, 5 Sep – Iran blamed a “technical glitch” for allowing female football fans to buy tickets to watch the men’s national team play Syria.
It seemed like the Regime’s sexist ban on women attending football matches when men are playing had been lifted, on Saturday, when the option appeared for women’s tickets for Iran’s World Cup qualifier against Syria.

London, 5 Sep – The Iranian Regime has tested its first ever long-range missile defence system, according to Iranian state media.
Farzad Esmaili, head of the Revolutionary Guards’ (IRGC) air defences, told the Regime-affiliated outlet IRIB on Sunday, that work is underway on the new Bavar 373 system and it is expected to be fully operational by March 2018.

London, 4 Sep – The Iranian Regime has upheld its 10-year jail sentences on four men imprisoned on bogus national security charges including spying on behalf of a foreign government and collaboration against the state.
On Sunday, Tehran’s Prosecutor Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi confirmed that the appeal of the four men (Princeton University student Xiyue Wang, Iranian-American businessman Siamak Namazi and his elderly father Baquer, and Nizar Zakka, a Lebanese citizen with permanent US residency) had been rejected.

London, 4 Sep – A British politician spoke out about the deplorable human rights situation in Iran and called on the EU Foreign Policy chief to condemn the horrific human rights violations as well, at a London rally on Saturday.
Struan Stevenson, former chair of European Parliament’s official Delegation for Relations with Iraq, said: “The EU’s policy on Iran is totally flawed and it is nowhere more evident than the attitude of its foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini regarding the despicable situation of human rights in that country.”
Mogherini recently attended the inauguration of the supposedly moderate Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, despite the tragic nature of human rights in Iran.

London, 4 Sep – Iran has been allowed a foothold in Iraq for far too long to leave without a fight, according to an Iranian regime expert.
Tony Duheaume, wrote a piece for Al Arabiya, in which he asserted that despite the promises of Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi, the Iranian Regime is still ruling the roost in its fellow Gulf nation, with its claws firmly sunken into the military, the “justice” system, and the government.

London, 4 Sep – The Iranian mullahs are watching carefully as the world responds to North Korea’s latest nuclear launch, because they know that however the world responds to North Korea is most likely the way they will respond to Iran upon their nuclear test.
While the two countries have some large cultural differences, they have even bigger similarities.

London, 3 Sep – A prominent Iranian journalist, who was a member of the semi-opposition political alliance of “nationalist-religious”, has lost his right eye and part of the right side of his face; the result of being denied adequate medical care whilst imprisoned by the Regime.
Alireza Rajaei, who is recovering from a complicated surgery to treat his sinus cancer, was sentenced to four years’ imprisonment in 2011 on bogus national security charges and for belonging to the Nationalist-Religious alliance.
The alliance is deemed to be “deviant” by the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei for being too Western-inclined.

London, 3 Sep – The Iranian Regime is being heavily condemned by the US and the Iranian Resistance for its death sentence against spiritual leader Mohammad Ali Taheri.
The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) released a statement, which read: “Taheri has committed no crime, possessed no weapon, and based on this regime’s own medieval and cruel laws cannot even be charged with the vague charges of moharebe or mofsed fel-arz (corruption on earth).”
