London, 2 Aug – The Iran Nuclear Deal recently passed its two-year mark and Donald Trump has once again signalled his displeasure at both the deal and the Iranian Regime’s belligerence, by imposing more sanctions on the murderous mullahs and their ballistic missiles programme.

Yet, the Trump administration yet again certified Iran as in compliance with the Nuclear Deal despite clear evidence to the contrary. Although, they did note that the US remains concerned about Iran and accused it of violating the spirit of the agreement.

Iran Supported Rioters in Jerusalem

London, 2 Aug – The Iranian Regime may have paid Temple Mount rioters in Jerusalem last month, according to reports in Israel Hayom.

Their article quoted an anonymous intelligence official in the Palestinian Authority as saying that Iran was supporting the protests against increased security at the site.

The source said that the Iranian Regime has provided “millions of shekels” to the protesters, even stirring up renewed animosity between the Israelis and the Palestinians.

Iran’s Dominance Over Iraq Could Be Coming to an End

London, 2 Aug – The Iranian Regime dominates its neighbour Iraq in almost every way and is unwilling to surrender this power, but could Iraq evict them with help from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)?

Abdulrahman al-Rashed, the former General Manager of Al Arabiya News Channel, wrote an op-ed on Al Arabiya in which he assessed that Iraq, which is an oil –rich country, is more than capable of restoring its powers if the Iraqi nationalists work together and that it is in the interests of the GCC to support Iraqi independence.

London, 2 Aug – At Gohardasht prison, on July 30, 2017, a group of political prisoners issued a statement that condemned the massacre of at least 30,000 victims in Iran during the summer of 1988. They called for justice on the perpetrators of this crime, demanding that they be held accountable.

Failed Attempts of Iran Regime Against MEK

London, 2 Aug – Mere hours before the Iranian Resistance’s annual Free Iran gathering began in Paris, the Iranian Regime’s foreign minister, Javad Zarif, visited France in order to ban the gathering.

He failed. Over 100,000 people turned up to support the Iranian people’s call for freedom.

Three weeks later, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei sent his close relative and advisor, Kamal Kharrazi, who was involved in a failed 2003 plot to discredit the resistance group the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (MEK/PMOI), to denounce the MEK/PMOI as “a terrorist group that murdered thousands of ordinary citizens in Iran”.

Human Rights Activist Welcomes Blacklist of IRGC

London, 1 Aug – An Iranian human rights activist has praised the new US sanctions on Iran, claiming that they succeed, where the nuclear deal failed.

Amir Basiri, wrote an op-ed for the Washington Examiner, in which he referred to the most recent sanctions as a “milestone achievement in countering the Iranian regime’s belligerence and fixing some of the key flaws contained in the [2015] nuclear deal”.

Increased Sanctions on Iran Over Space Launch

London, 1 Aug – The Iranian Regime is now subject to new sanctions following the recent launch of a satellite into space; as many speculate that this was not part of a peaceful space programme but in fact a test for their long-range ballistic missile programme.

Michael Tomlinson, wrote on Iran Lobby, that this was similar to the way in which North Korea developed its programme, which now poses a threat to the US.

Amazon Under Investigation for Breaking Iran Sanctions Act

London, 1 Aug – Online retailer Amazon is under investigation for potentially breaking US sanctions on Iran by selling over $30,000 worth of goods to people working on behalf of the Iranian Regime in the past five years, according to its own US Security and Exchange Commissions filing.

The reports notes that between January 2012 and June 2017 Amazon processed and delivered orders from individuals and organisations outside of Iran that were subject to the Iran Threat Reduction and Syria Human Rights Act (ITRA), i.e. embassies, people affiliated with the Iranian Regime, and entities potentially owned by members of the Regime.

The Overthrow of Iran Regime Is Indispensable, Feasible, and Within Reach

London, 1 Aug – A member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), wrote an op-ed for The Gatestone Institute in which he criticised the US’s decision to certify the Iranian Regime as compliant with the nuclear deal despite clear evidence to the contrary.

He did, however, praise the White House for its warnings to the Regime that this certification was “reluctant” and would be backed up by further sanctions against the Regime’s non-nuclear crimes like ballistic missile development and support for terrorism, and for quickly following through with those sanctions.
