London, 26 Mar – President of the United States Donald Trump earlier this week issued a warm greeting to the people of Iran on the occasion of the Persian New year – Nowruz.
He said: “To the Iranian people and all those around the world celebrating Nowruz: On behalf of the American people, I wish you freedom, dignity, and wealth.”

London, 26 Mar – On Thursday, senators in the United States announced a bipartisan bill that is set to impose sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding its ballistic missile testing. It will also address Iran’s support for its Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) which may possibly be designated as a terrorist organisation.
This news came from top Democrats and Republicans who are part of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. The Iranian Supreme Leader’s warnings about sanctions putting the 2015 nuclear deal in danger are being ignored.

London, 24 Mar – Iran is jeopardising international navigation by acting aggressively say US Navy commanders. They say that warships are being harassed by Iran in the Strait of Hormuz.
They also warn that instances of aggression could lead to an armed clash due to a miscalculation of the situation.

London, 20 Mar – The Syrian civil war, described by UN human rights chief Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein as “the worst man-made disaster since World War II,” is now in its sixth year, but recent peace talks have been encouraging.
Alexander Lavrentiev, head of Russia’s delegation to the talks, announced that Turkey, Russia, and Iran would from a special team to supervise the implementation of the ceasefire on the ground whilst sharing information about the locations of terror groups like the Islamic State and Jabhat Fateh al-Sham.

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, a London-based charity worker, was arrested last April when returning from a family holiday to celebrate the Iranian New Year with her daughter and parents.

Allegedly, he was a key component of the operation to sell the Iran nuclear deal to the American people.

London, 19 Mar – On Thursday, Khalid Al-Falih, Saudi Energy Minister said that relations between his country and the United States have never been better, and the two nations are in agreement on confronting Iranian aggression.
During a visit to Washington with Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the young, influential royal at the helm of Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification and military, Falih said the visit solidified the importance of the U.S.-Saudi relationship, and called it central to global stability.

London, 16 Mar – The Trump Administration has been heavily focused on the Yemeni Civil War since they came into office and the reason may be that they are worried about the Iranian influence in the Middle East.
A senior US official told The Washington Post: “We’ll be looking for ways to blunt Iranian malign influence in the region.”
They are working with traditional US allies, like Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, in order to forge a long-term strategy on Iran.
