London, 20 Feb – Amid heightened political tensions between the United States and Iran, there is huge unrest in Khuzestan – Iran’s main oil field province.
The Iranian oil supplies are essential to the survival of the clerical regime running the country. Depriving it of the oil supplies spells the end of the regime.

London, 20 Feb – Vice President Mike Pence said at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday February 18th that the United States will prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon that could be used against the US or Israel.
He said: “Under President [Donald] Trump, the US will remain fully committed to ensuring that Iran never obtains a nuclear weapon capable of threatening our country [or] our allies in the region, especially Israel.”

London, 20 Feb – Despite the recent sanctions imposed on Iran for ballistic missile testing and despite clear warnings from the United States, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC) is planning to carry out military drills.
The drills are said to be planned for next week.

London, 18 Feb – Repeated periods of asphyxiating dust storms, lately accompanied by crippling power and water supply cuts, have aggravated public protests in the city of Ahvaz, southwestern province of Khuzestan, over past week.
Holding up placards saying “don’t kill Khuzestan”, “Ahvaz in blackout”, “Karun River is dead” and asking for their right to breathe in a clean air along with people wearing masks, the crowd of dissenters demonstrated their opposition towards the city current situation.

London, 18 Feb – The European Parliament group – Friends of a Free Iran (FOFI) – held a conference on the occasion of the anniversary of the 1979 revolution in Iran. The conference took place on 15th February in Strasbourg and was chaired by MEP Gérard Deprez.
The guest speaker at the event was Mohammad Mohaddessin – renowned writer about Islamic fundamentalism and Iran and the chairman of the National Council of Resistance of Iran’s (NCRI) Foreign Affairs Committee. Mr Mohaddessin was also a political prisoner under the shah’s dictatorship.

London, 17 Feb – Those who were in favour of the Iran nuclear deal claimed that it would help the economy as the Iranian regime would lose much of its hold and control over the country’s economy.
The deal went ahead and sanctions were lifted. So why now are state-owned companies in Iran the ones that have benefited most from the deal? Why is the Supreme Leader and the Islamic Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) reaping the benefits?
At the minute, of 110 deals worth around $80 billion in total, around 90 of them have links to state-run companies.

London, 17 Feb – New information about the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and its training of new recruits was revealed by the National Council of Resistance (NCRI) earlier this week. The US representative office of the NCRI said in a press conference that the new recruits were being trained by the IRGC so they could work abroad.

London, 17 Feb – A young girl in Iran has been arrested and beaten for wearing ripped jeans.
The girl, aged 14, is the latest victim of the Iranian regime’s campaign of oppression of women and girls.

London, 16 Feb – Senior officials of the Iranian regime have warned the US against revealing details about deals that were made alongside the nuclear deal.
The deals were negotiated with the Obama administration and have not yet been disclosed to the public.
