London, 31 Jan – On July 14, 2015, world powers and Iran reached an agreement over the latter’s illicit nuclear program, which had been the subject of global tensions for more than a decade. The international community had concerns over Iran’s possible goal to obtain nuclear weapons, an allegation that the Iranian regime denied. 

However, a brief look at the history of Iran’s nuclear program gives reason to believe that we haven’t seen the last of Iran’s nuclear ambitions, and there’s reason to believe the signing of the nuclear deal was not the final chapter of the decade-old standoff between Tehran and the international community.

London, 30 Jan – The Iranian Regime has been meddling in the affairs of Gulf nations for too long and Gulf countries should fight back, according to the former Minister of National Education for Morocco.

Najima Tai Tai, a member of the National Rally of Independence (RNI) of Morocco, said: “The meddling of the Iranian regime in the internal affairs of some Arabic countries like Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, and Yemen has made me very sorry. The meddling has caused disaster and destruction for all countries of the region including Iraq, Syria, and Yemen. Thousands of people were killed and tens of thousands of civilians including women and children were displaced and suffered from pain and agony.”

Congressman Eliot Engel: Iran is damaging the Middle East

London, 30 Jan – Iran poses a threat to the middle east, and especially Syria, according to Congressman Eliot Engel, a Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

He said: “When you look at Iran’s behaviour, we see that they’ve been a negative in Syria. They’ve been a negative in Lebanon. They help Hezbollah. Hezbollah is their puppet, is their wig, is their terrorist group.”

Iran sabotaged Syrian Peace Talks

London, 30 Jan – Iran remains the main opposition to peace in Syria according to a human rights activist.

Heshmat Alavi, an expert on the Iranian Regime, wrote on American Thinker that Iran is standing in the way of peace in Syria because the Regime is scared of losing its control over Syria and by extension, the Middle East.

Iran: Regime tries to strengthen its position at Astana talks

London, 29 Jan – Two days of talks have just taken place in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, regarding the Syrian civil war. Iran, Turkey and Russia participated in the talks which was basically all talk and no action.

Iran however declared the talks a success and highlighted the positive role it played in the past six years in Syria.

Prisoners of conscience let down by authorities in Iran

London, 29 Jan – Arash Sadeghi is an Iranian prisoner who is currently serving a 15-year prison sentence in the notorious Evin prison in Tehran. His crime was to participate in peaceful human rights activities.

On Sunday, his wife was arrested and taken back to prison after furlough to continue to serve her six-year sentence. Golrokh Ebrahimi Iraee was originally arrested for “insulting Islamic sanctities” among other charges.

How can the US lessen the threat of the Iran?

London, 27 Jan – Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu has said that a high priority for discussion with US President Trump is tackling aggression from Iran. He is due to meet with President Trump next month.

The reason for this is because the Iran nuclear deal has increased its plans to control the region. Although the deal was to suspend its nuclear weapons program for several years, it is actually just giving Iran time to develop and expand its centrifuge capability.

And this budget bill has been presented by the cabinet of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, described as a “moderate” by advocates of the Iran engagement camp.
