London, 28 Nov – In August, it was revealed that the 1988 Iranian Massacre of 30,000 political prisoners was orchestrated by high-ranking members of the Iranian Regime.
This November, the Iranian Regime has sentenced the whistle-blower to 21 years in prison for “acting against national security and propaganda against the publication of secret documents” by the Special Clerical Court.

London, 28 Nov – The Iranian Resistance has written an open letter in response to the op-ed in Politico by Daniel Benjamin which attempted to smear the Iranian Resistance as terrorists who had “killed Americans”.
The letter, written by Soona Samsami, a U.S. Representative of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), was sent to Politico on November 23. As Politico did not publish it, the NCRI-US released it instead, and other news outlets- like Yahoo– have picked it up.

London, 28 Nov – The Iranian Regime is playing a “good cop, bad cop” strategy when it comes to Donald Trump’s administration, according to a top political scientist.
Dr. Majid Rafizadeh, president of the International American Council and a Harvard University scholar, wrote an op-ed on Al-Arabiya in which he states that Iran is playing good cop, bad cop with the incoming Trump administration in order to achieve its geopolitical, strategic and economic objectives.

London, 24 Nov – A leading organisation for Iranian Americans has issued a statement critisicizing the US Ambassador and former Coordinator for Counterterrorism over his pro-Iranian Regime comments.
Daniel Benjamin attacked the Iranian opposition movement known as the Mujahedin-e-Khalq (MEK/PMOI), despite being in the State Department when the MEK was taken off the terrorist list, where they never belonged in the first place.

Davina Miller, a former Head of Peace Studies at the University of Bradford (UK), wrote that she hoped Trump would stick to his promise to renegotiate the Iranian nuclear deal.

This number, confirmed by Mohammadali Shahidi Mahallati, head of Iran’s Foundation of Martyrs, notes a significant spike compared with four months ago when the number was 400.

Heshmat Alavi cites that Bush’s Iraq War shifted the attention from Tehran to Baghdad and that Obama’s nuclear deal allowed the Regime to persecute their own people without fear of international reprisals.

London, 23 Nov – A former Member of the White House National Security Council staff, wrote an op-ed for the Daily Caller, heralding Donald Trump as a game changer when it comes to the Iranian Regime.
Raymond Tanter, also the Personal Representative of the Secretary of Defense to arms control talks in the Reagan-Bush administration, said that Trump has the opportunity to tip the balance of power away from the Regime and their lobbyists, from the National Iranian American Council (NIAC), and towards the Iranian people and their Resistance forces, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

London, 23 Nov – Iran may be placing its Shiite militia fighters around Mosul to fight ISIS (Islamic State) for now, but their end goal is to maintain a fighting force within Iraq so that they can more easily attack other countries in the Persian Gulf, according to analysts.
Currently, the Iranian-sponsored and Baghdad-approved Popular Mobilization Forces include mostly Shiite groups; moderate and extremists.

They explain that the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) was formed in 1965 and is the largest and most organised Iranian opposition movement. It is the “main component of the coalition, National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), which acts as the parliament-in-exile”.
The group is “committed to a secular, democratic, non-nuclear republic; gender equality; freedom of religion, thought, press, and association; support for peace in the Middle East; and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights”.
