London, 23 Sep – An article by Yahoo News on September 21, reports that a new campaign group,, demanded a UN probe into the 1988 massacres in Iran after the release of an audio tape revealed new information. The group called launched their campaign Wednesday at a press conference at the United Nations in Geneva.

London, 23 Sep – In his article in Newsweek today, September 23, Giulio Maria Terzi, former foreign minister of Italy, writes about Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s attendance at the U.N. General Assembly in New York, just a little over a year after the Nuclear Deal he made with the United States, and other countries.
The big question, according to Terzi, is whether or not the Obama administration and its political allies will address the human rights abuses by the Iranian government that were ignored pending the outcome of nuclear negotiations.

Politicians and the public alike have also questioned the $1.7 billion cash ransom for releasing hostages, held by the Iranian authorities. A new bipartisan bill named as the Iranian Leadership Asset Transparency Act has been passed to ensure that the financial dealings of the Iranian Regime remain as transparent as possible.

London, 23 Sep – Earlier this year, Iran’s Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) admitted to the allegations that Iran had been supplying the Houthi forces in Yemen with ‘Zelzal-3’ missiles which were made in Iran. Saad Hariri from the Lebanese Parliament (who also served as Lebanon’s prime minister between 2009 and 2011) blames Iran for the crisis in Yemen and the instability in many other countries within the Middle East.

London, 22 Sep – It is no secret that Iran uses medieval torture techniques on their prisoners but a recent report by a Baluch prisoner has detailed the horrific practices used on him.
Ajab Gol Nour Zehi, who is imprisoned in Iranshahr Prison in Sistan & Baluchistan province, wrote: “They ruthlessly subjected me to beating with cables on the head and face and back such that after nearly one and half years the signs of the flogging with cables can be seen on my body.”

London, 22 Sep – A committee dedicated to seeking justice for the victims of the 1988 Iranian massacre has been formed at the meeting of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
The committee, called “Justice for the victims of the 1988 massacre in Iran”, will trigger an inquiry into the massacre and investigate those involved.
