Bishop of Gloucester signs public statement criticizing Iranian Regime’s Treatment of Christians

London, 8 Jul – The Bishop of Gloucester is one of 80 church leaders who signed a public statement calling on governments to condition any relations with Iran with an end to the persecution of Christians and religious minorities, according to the Church of England Newspaper.

London, Jul 8 – Marc Ginsberg, the former White House Middle East Adviser, has dismissed the idea that Iran’s nuclear agreement could lead to a moderate Iran. He said that there the oppressive military dictatorship is anything but moderate.

In an article for the World Post, he said: “Iran is undeniably under the control of the Revolutionary Guards and their political hacks within the Ayatollah Khamenei’s clerical politburo.”

London, 7 Jul – Californian Congresswoman Judy Chu has made a video statement in which she decries the Iranian regime for its human rights abuses.

She said: “For too long Iran’s theocratic rulers have repressed their people and threaten others, already Iran is a world leader in executions second only to China, but now the leaders there are adopting increasingly cruel and inhumane punishments like blinding prisoners with acid or removing their eyes. This is an affront to the peaceful and open Iran that [the Resistance represents].”
