London, 22 Sep – On Thursday, H.R. McMaster, President Trump’s National Security Adviser, said that the administration is very concerned about Iran’s destabilising behaviour. He also said that the Iran nuclear deal is “fundamentally flawed” because it is so one-sided. Iran was the one that got all the benefits. Furthermore, the deal did not address fundamental issues leaving the regime free to advance with its nuclear program.

McMaster pointed out that there are various ways in which the US can deal with the Iranian regime and emphasised that Trump is looking at the full situation in the Islamic Republic rather than focusing on just the nuclear aspect.

He also said that Trump is ensuring that American interests are protected including American citizens and allies.

London, 21 Sep – Donald Trump has said that he’s made up his mind on the future of the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran, but has refused to elaborate.

He said: “I have decided. I’ll let you know.”

His latest comments come one day after a meeting between US and Iranian officials on Tuesday and one day after Trump addressed the UN and criticised the nuclear deal as “an embarrassment to the United States” and “one of the worst and most one-sided transactions” that the US has agreed to.

London, 21 Sep – An Iranian translator has been forced to defend himself after coming under fire for altering Donald Trump’s address to the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, in order to downplay Trump’s criticism of Iran.

Nima Chitsaz, a translator for Iranian state broadcaster IRIB, said that he wanted to spare his Persian-speaking viewers from Trump’s verbal attacks.

He said: “I don’t think it would be nice for me to speak on national TV against my own country.”

However, if Chitsaz’s goal was to protect the people of Iran, it is unclear why he mistranslated a comment by Trump that spoke of the power that the Iranian people had to overthrow the Regime.

London, 21 Sep – F. Mahmoudi, a Kurdish-Iranian human rights activist, wrote an op-ed for Al Arabiya on how the two rogue states of North Korea and Iran are working together on nuclear technology and undermine the West.

The advance in North Korea’s weapons technology has increased considerably over a short amount of time; far too short for this to be the natural progression of research and development according to sources from the British Foreign Office, who suspect that Iran has been providing them with the money to buy the technology.

As Iranian President Hassan Rouhani addressed the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday, thousands of activists and human rights defenders gathered outside to protest the legitimization of the Iranian Regime and call for regime change.

They dressed up in caricature-esque costumes of Rouhani and Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, chanted “Rouhani. No, no, no” and “Free, Free Iran”, and gave out literature to document the Regime’s crimes.

Sonia Samsami, the US Representative of the National Council of Resistance to Iran (NCRI), said: “We want the American people to know that the Iranian people do not want a clerical regime. Regime change at the hands of the people is the only solution to the Iran crisis.”

London, 20 Sep – Iran and the US are heading for a confrontation, according to one US national security expert.

Hal Brands, a Senior Fellow in the Foreign Policy Research Institute’s Program on National Security, wrote an op-ed for Bloomberg in which he assessed that Iran is the adversary that the US should be concerned about, rather than North Korea.

Brands, a Henry A. Kissinger Distinguished Professor of Global Affairs at Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), wrote: “[Iran is] a rogue-state adversary, a potential foe that has proved rational yet ruthless in pursuit of its interests, including the aggressive development of its nuclear program and associated military capabilities.”

London, 20 Sep – The Iranian Regime is smuggling illicit weapons into Yemen to fuel the civil strife, according to the most senior American admiral in the Middle East.

Vice Adm. Kevin M. Donegan said that Iran, who has repeatedly been accused of supplying weapons to the Houthi rebels who wish to overthrow the Western-backed government, are still trafficking illegal weapons to their terrorist proxy group which they then fire on Saudi Arabia.

The weapons that Iran is providing to the Houtis include anti-ship and ballistic missiles, like deadly sea mines and explosive boats. These weapons have been used to attack ships in the Red Sea or Saudi troops along the border between Saudi Arabia and Yemen.

London, 20 Sep – Mere months after the nuclear agreement between Iran and six world powers went into effect in 2016, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the world powers were handed information by a Western entity, relating to nuclear sites that the Iranian Regime was trying to keep secret but it is believed that most of these sites have never even been visited.

The IAEA has been consistently refused access to certain Iranian sites and the UN has rarely addressed this, despite the fact that Iran cannot be considered compliant if their sites haven’t been fully inspected.
