McCain Praises Iranian Resistance

London, 18 Apr – Senator John McCain (R-AZ), Chair of the Senate Armed Services Committee, praised members the Iranian Resistance for standing up for freedom at a conference in Albania, earlier this month.

He said: “You have stood up and fought and sacrificed for freedom, for the right to live free, for the right to determine your own future, for the rights that are God-given. I thank you for being an example, an example to the whole world, that those people who are willing to fight and sacrifice for freedom will achieve it, and you are an example to everyone in the world that is struggling for (freedom).”

Trump Considers Tougher Sanctions on Iran

London, 18 Apr – The Trump administration is considering tougher sanctions on Iran, including using a much stricter interpretation on the current nuclear deal between Iran, the US and five other world powers.

A senior White House official told Foreign Policy that the Trump administration is considering being more rigorous with sanctions in the future, with the possibility of broadening US sanctions to include more companies that are linked with the Iranian terror squad, the IRGC.

London, 18 Apr – While the US strike on the Shayrat Air Base in Syria was seen as a defiant strike against the dictator Bashar al-Assad; it was also a strike on Iran, who helped supply Syria with the chemical weapons to kill its own people.

The missile strike, on April 6, was a retaliation for the chemical attacks – widely believed to be the work of Syrian Government forces- which killed 100 people and left another 400 wounded.

John Bolton wrote an op-ed for the New York Post, in which he stated that there could be no debate: the IRGC is a foreign terrorist organisation (FTO).

Syrian Dictator Urged to Quit by Radical Iraqi Shi’i Cleric

London, 17 Apr – On Saturday, a radical cleric in Iraq called for the Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad to step down and called on the US, Iran and Russia to stop intervening in the Civil War.

Moqtada al-Sadr, who is based in Najaf condemned the murders of 87 people (including 31 children) in a chemical attack, on an area controlled by the resistance forces, that is widely blamed on the Syrian Government.
