New Oil Contracts Signed with Iran’s Revolutionary Guard

London, 29 October – In an article published in Al-Arabiya by Saleh Hamid on October 27, sources told that publication that Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, and the companies affiliated with them, have acquired a percentage of new oil contracts signed between the Iranian oil ministry and International companies.

Iran’s military force, the Revolutionary Guards, command an industrial empire with huge political influence, and have now won sanctions relief under a nuclear deal agreed with world powers.

Political Prisoners in Iran Decry Human Rights Abuses in Letter to newly-elected UN Officials

London, 29 October – On October 27, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) published an article about a group of political prisoners in Iran’s Gohardasht Prison in Karaj, who have written to António Guterres, the newly-elected next United Nations Secretary General, and Asma Jahangir, the new UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in Iran.

In this letter, the political prisoners tell of the appalling human rights abuses and political violence by the regime in Iran.

Iran: Teachers’ Unionist: Regime Has less than One Percent of Popular Vote.

Hashem Khastar, a representative of the Teacher’s Trade Association in Khorasan, said in an interview that the only people who support the Regime are those who benefit from it, i.e. the very rich.

London, 28 October – The chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US House of Representatives has said that news of Iran’s $4 million ransom demand for the safe return of US hostages has confirmed his worst fears about the huge cash settlement paid to the Regime earlier this year.

Ed Royce, a Republican Representative from California told the Washington Examiner: “Just as I feared, the Iranian regime now has more American hostages and wants more money. The Obama administration’s $1.7 billion cash payment to Iran wasn’t just bad policy — it put additional lives at risk. … Iran should release all American hostages immediately and unconditionally.”

At a ceremony to commemorate the members of Iranian military force, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), who have died in the Syrian Civil War, Mohmmad Ali Jaafari, head of the IRGC described the murder of innocent civilians as “defending the sanctity of the leader and revolution”.
