London, 10 November – Half of Iran has turned to desert according to the Iranian Regime’s official in charge of their 20-year plan for desert management.
Mohammad Darvish said: “[The desert crisis is growing] very fast in the country and it is worrying. The loss of soil fertility, the decline in production, the increasing number of abandoned villages, the loss of groundwater, land subsidence and the increased production of dust are the signs of desertification.”

London, 10 November – A Saudi newspaper has called for Iran’s President and Supreme Leader to be put on trial for the 1988 Iranian Massacre.
The Saudi Al-Hayat newspaper has reviewed the growing international movement to obtain justice for the massacre victims. Excerpts of the newspaper article are available on the National Council of Resistance of Iran’s website.

London, 10 November – A human rights activist has penned an op-ed for the American Free Thinker, criticising President Obama for the Iranian Nuclear Deal which was signed in 2015.
The US had hoped that Iran would mediate its interference in the Middle East but Amir Basiri, a supporter of democratic regime change in Iran, wrote that Iran has not upheld its side of the deal.
He wrote: “Not only has the Iranian regime failed to manifest a modicum of cooperation on the crises riddling the region, but it has also grown bolder in its efforts to expand terrorism, to fan the fires of sectarianism in neighbouring countries, and to threaten global peace and stability.”

London, 10 November – The deputy commander in chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps’ (IRGC), Hossein Salami, has bragged about the murder of 260 Americans in the 1980s.
Hossein Salami said: “In 1983, the flames of Islamic revolution flared among Lebanese youth for the first time, and in a courageous act, a young Muslim buried 260 United States Marines under the rebels east of Mediterranean Sea.”

London, 9 November – The Iranian regime is infamous for its treatment of artists, creatives, and activists – and it’s never been one to advocate freedom of expression. Many artists and activists remain in captivity in Tehran’s prisons. Powerless and robbed of their basic freedoms, some opt to go on a hunger strike as their last resort to fight the regime and the injustice. Two brothers – a filmmaker Hossein Rajabian and a musician Mehdi Rajabian – have been on a hunger strike since October, as they live their days as captives in Tehran’s infamous Evin Prison.

London, 8 November – Sassari’s main TV channel as well as Sardegna Reporter, a website covering the overall Sardinia region, as well as other media and social networks, have all given much attention to a conference held at the main hall of the Central University in the Italian city of Sassari. The event generated many reports on the justice-seeking movement which is aimed at bringing to justice the perpetrators of 1988 massacre.
Sassari’s mayor wrote in his Facebook page: “the city of Sassari, too, joins the freedom-lover Iranians and supporters of the justice-seeking movement for the 30,000 political prisoners massacred in Iran during the summer of 1988, to condemn this Iranian regime’s crime against humanity,” after the conference.

London, 8 November – According to reports received by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and published by them on November 7, political prisoner Lavin Karimi in Hamedan prison has been denied medical treatment for stomach problems she incurred during torture while under interrogation.
She is now experiencing bleeding in her stomach, and prison doctors say that she must receive medical treatment immediately. However one of her torturers, a man called Rajabi, told Lavin that the Intelligence Ministry will not allow her out of prison, and the prison can do nothing to help her.

London, 8 November – The media has reported the role that Iran plays in the conflict in Syria in the past. Earlier this year, the Spanish digital newspaper El Confidencial quoted a special report provided by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) that revealed the extent of Iran’s involvement in Syria. And it’s not just the media. Various organisations and noteworthy politicians, such as the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Mevlut Cavusoglu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, have also demanded that the Islamic Republic of Iran stops meddling in the affairs of the Middle East.

London, 8 November – According to a November 7 article published by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), there has been an alarming increase in abortions in Khuzestan, especially in Arab-settled areas.
Issues like unemployment, the rising cost of housing, deprivation, and a difficult life situation, has caused a prevalence of abortion in this province, which is ignored by the regime’s officials in Khuzestan.
