London, 26 October – The US House of Representatives are planning a mid-November vote on reauthorizing the Iran Sanctions Act for another decade.
The Iran Sanctions Act, which is due to expire on December 31, allows trade, energy, defence and banking industry sanctions on Iran if they continue expanding their nuclear program and testing ballistic missile.

Dr. Mohammad al-Sulami, an expert on Iranian political affairs and the head of the Iranian-Arabic Studies, wrote an article in Alwatan Saudi Newspaper, accusing the mullahs of stealing the 1978 revolution from the Iranian people.

This line suggested that fighting the Islamic State (ISIS) and the Iranian regime are “intimately related” missions. The speech was delivered at the Brookings Institute’s Saban Forum in 2015, with this line missing.

London, 25 October – This weekend a speech by Hillary Clinton was made public on WikiLeaks. On October 28, 2013, she voiced her skepticism over Iran and attempts to portray their current president Hassan Rouhani as ‘moderate’.
Speaking to members of the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago, just after Obama’s historic phone call to Rouhani, she said: “I believe that Rouhani was allowed to be elected by the two major power sources in Iran, the supreme leader and the clerics and the Revolutionary Guard … in part because the sanctions were having a quite damaging effect on the economy.”

Rouhani’s government, who have spent years ignoring the problem, recently invited environmental scientists from Europe and Asia to advise on the crisis of Lake Urmia, but there are doubts on how effective this can be following the neglect by the Regime.

London, 25 October – The Iranian Regime is holding an American- Iranian businessman and his elderly father hostage for “many billions of dollars”, according to Blaze News.
The businessman, Siamak Namazi, and his 80-year-old father Baquer Namazi were sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for spying on behalf of the US government only last week, but the Ayatollah said that he would release the pair proving a large ransom settlement was paid by the US.

London, 24 October – The high suicide rate in Iran paints a grim picture of the true nature of this oppressive regime. Al Arabiya reported last year that back in 2013, four thousand people had chosen to take their own lives in Iran – the highest rate at the time in the Middle East. Now, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has reported the latest suicide rate statistics, conducted by WHO. According to this source, 11 people make an attempt to take their own life in Iran every single day, and 30% of them are successful.
