Rouhani’s government, who have spent years ignoring the problem, recently invited environmental scientists from Europe and Asia to advise on the crisis of Lake Urmia, but there are doubts on how effective this can be following the neglect by the Regime.

London, 25 October – The Iranian Regime is holding an American- Iranian businessman and his elderly father hostage for “many billions of dollars”, according to Blaze News.
The businessman, Siamak Namazi, and his 80-year-old father Baquer Namazi were sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for spying on behalf of the US government only last week, but the Ayatollah said that he would release the pair proving a large ransom settlement was paid by the US.

Al Arabiya reported last year that back in 2013, four thousand people had chosen to take their own lives in Iran – the highest rate at the time in the Middle East. Now, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has reported the latest suicide rate statistics, conducted by WHO. According to this source, 11 people make an attempt to take their own life in Iran every single day, and 30% of them are successful.

London, 24 October – The son of former leading regime member has been tried in the Special Clerical Court (SCC) on national security charges and not allowed a defence lawyer.
Ahmad Montazeri, the son of Ayatollah Hossein-Ali Montazeri (former Deputy Supreme Leader), was tried last Wednesday for publishing an audio file earlier this year which revealed that the Iranian Regime was responsible for the 1988 Iranian massacre which claimed 30,000 lives.

London, 22 October – A prominent British politician has given a speech about American’s big mistake regarding Iran, at the University of California- Berkeley.
Struan Stevenson, President of the European Iraqi Freedom Association (EIFA), said that the West made the mistake of thinking that the Regime is strong but really, it is quite vulnerable.
He said that if the West had come down stronger on them during last year’s nuclear deal, we may have been able to replace the Regime with its democratic alternative.
