London, 5 October – On October 3, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) reported on comments made by the Iranian regime’s Justice Minister, Mostafa Pour-Mohammad, regarding abolishing death penalty for drug traffickers in Iran.  He said, “One of the punishments for a corrupt person is execution.”  The Justice Minister was allegedly a member of the Death Committee responsible for the 1988 massacre of tens of thousands of political prisoners in Iran.

London, 5 October – In a Statement issued on Monday, October 3, The Secretariat of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) denounced the bombings of residential areas and hospitals in the Syrian city of Aleppo.

The Statement follows:

The Iranian Resistance strongly condemns the ruthless bombings of Aleppo, the massacre of children, especially the bombardment of hospitals and the killing of patients and the wounded, as well as the inhuman siege of the city. The NCRI calls on the world community to take urgent action to stop these bombardments and put an end to the criminal siege of Aleppo, which are widely perpetrated by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and their proxies.

London, 3 October – An Iranian political prisoner has penned a letter to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights regarding the inhumane conditions of Zabol Prison where he is located.

Arjang Davoodi, a 63-year-old prisoner with diabetes and heart and lung problems was moved to Zabol prison late last month and banned from taking his medication with him.
