London, 1 Mar – Six human rights organisations have banded together to produce a joint statement condemning the 1988 Iranian massacre of 30,000 political prisoners and to call for the international community to hold those responsible for the massacre to account.
The statement, titled “The 1988 massacre of political prisoners in Iran constitutes a crime against humanity”, was signed by the Nonviolent Radical Party, Transnational and Transparty, Women’s Human Rights International Association, Edmund Rice International Limited, France Libertes: Fondation Danielle Mitterrand, and International Educational Development, Inc.

London, 1 Mar – The American Government has tried three times to offer a balanced and neutral proposal to hold peace talks in the Syrian Civil War, but each time, the Syrian Regime and their allies, shot down the chance for peace.
As a result, many concessions have now been offered to the Regime in order to kick start the peace process but this will not work, according to acclaimed Middle East journalist, Abdulrahman al-Rashed.

London, 1 Mar – If the US wants the help of Gulf countries to defeat ISIS, they must also insist that the Iranian Regime is removed from the area, according to an op-ed by a Bahraini writer and journalist.
Sawsan Al-Shaer wrote on Al Arabiya that if the US wants to ally itself with Gulf countries in order to see the expulsion of ISIS, they must also help the Gulf countries to remove other terror threats and make sure that land recaptured from ISIS is not taken over by the Iranian mullahs or their terrorist affiliates.

The number of protesters rallied in front of Parliament reached 4 thousands. The protesters incluede retired teachers, nurses, and the employees of the Armed Forces. They were chanting slogans that: “our problem will be solved if the embezzlement is eliminated.”

On Friday, the prayer leaders in Tehran and Mashhad praised Iran for focusing on Palestine rather than the pollution crises and food shortages in Iran.

London, 1 Mar – There is speculation that the Saudi-Iraq relationship could significantly improve after 25 years of hostility between the Gulf nations following the arrival of Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir in Baghdad.
There are reportedly no current tensions between the nations, but rather historical problems with relations since the Baath Party seized power in Iraq and began causing trouble with its Gulf neighbours.

Shahriar Kia, a member of the democratic Iranian opposition group, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), wrote an op-ed on Iran Freedom, praising the US for their policy towards the Iranian Regime.

London, 28 Feb – Michael Rubin, a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and a former Pentagon official, wrote an op-ed about the Obama administration’s ransom deal with Iran in early 2016.
Rubin testified before the House Financial Services Committee in September on the ransom payment of $1.2 billion paid by the US to Iran in order to secure the release of American hostages.
