Wreckage of Iran’s Plane Crash Found

London, 21 Feb – Iran announced on Tuesday that it had located the passenger jet that disappeared from radar signal over the weekend and confirmed that it had crashed into a mountain.

According to Revolutionary Guards spokesman Ramezan Sharif, the wreckage was spotted by a military drone and Russia helped Iran to locate the crash site.

He told the state-run news: “Two helicopters were sent to the coordinates that the drone had located, and found the wreckage. The plane had hit the top of the mountain before crashing 30 meters (yards) further down.”

London, 20 Feb – The Prime Minister of Iraq, Haidar al-Abadi, has called on the international community to help his country rebuild after successive wars destroyed the nation and many rose to the occasion. However, Iran, who has arguably done more damage in Iraq than the rest combined, didn’t contribute anything.

This is not surprising, of course, Iran needs that money to fund terrorism and proxy wars across the Middle East.

There is, however, another reason that Iran would not contribute and that is that the Iranian Regime actively benefits from having Iraq in tatters and would not like to its neighbour become stable and independent.

London, 20 Feb – The Iranian rial fell to a record low last week and scared Iranians began to withdraw their money from banks and buy foreign currency. President Hassan Rouhani attempted to persuade the people that this was a “fake market”, but in response, the rial fell even more.

The government attempted to pass the blame onto currency traders, when it sent out its police and security services, last Wednesday, to beat traders with batons before arresting 90 of them and shutting down their shops.

But the international markets aren’t fragile enough to be affected by a handful of money traders in Iran. This action belies that Iran is yet again choosing to ignore the actual problem in favour of suppressing its own people.

London, 20 Feb – Six people have now died in clashes between the Iranian Regime’s security forces and members of the Sufi faith in Gonabadi.

Currently, the death toll stands at six, with three riot police, two members of the paramilitary Basij force, and one protester having died.

Videos have emerged showing vehicles ploughing into the Regime’s security forces and both drivers have been arrested, but it is important to note that this is the desperate act of a community who are under constant attack from the Regime and have exhausted their other options. You can even hear protesters saying this is one of the videos.

London, 20 Feb – Several Western powers are calling on the United Nations Security Council to punish Iran for giving Houthi rebels in Yemen access to Iranian missiles. Britain, France and the United States have urged the UN Security Council to take action.

The three nations have also indicated that sanctions violations with regards to the missiles need to be addressed.

The draft resolution would allow the 15-member council to ensure that Iran is subjected to targeted sanctions for any and all activities “related to the use of ballistic missiles in Yemen”.

London, 20 Feb – Adel Al-Jubeir, the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, said that when it comes to the threat of cyberattacks, Iran is the most dangerous nation. He said that Iran is becoming more and more capable of sophisticated attacks including cyber-espionage.

His comments came during an interview on Sunday with CNBC. He spoke about how Iran had made numerous attempts on the kingdom and stated that Iran attempts to launch cyberattacks on the kingdom on a weekly basis.

He said: “The most dangerous nation behind cyberattacks? Iran. Iran is the only country that has attacked us repeatedly and tried to attack us repeatedly. In fact, they tried to do it on a virtually weekly basis.”

London, 20 Feb – In an effort to tackle issues such as poverty, exclusion and unemployment, The United Nations General Assembly has decided to annually observe February 20th as the World Day of Social Justice. However, in Iran, unemployment continues to increase.

With oil and gas and other natural resources, 33% of Iran’s population (26.4 million) still lives below the poverty line. In order to support their households, many are forced to engage in menial jobs with low wages, or dangerous jobs where they risk their lives.

State-run Young Journalist Club quoted regime economist Gholamreza Kiamehr as saying, “in light of the high price of goods and services, a family who earns less than 3.5 million toumans is considered to be below the poverty line.”

Now the war, which many predicted to be winding down, has spread to four different fronts and had become a proxy war for many actors in the Middle East, not least Iran.

The Iranian Regime’s proxy forces have used the Syrian conflict to deploy Hezbollah troops to the border of Israel, to expand Iran’s Shiite Crescent, and to prop up the Bashar Assad dictatorship, fearing that if he fell, then the Iranian mullahs would be next.
