Bipartisan Congress Members Welcome Sanctions on Iran

London, 20 Apr – The US Government have imposed new sanctions on the Iranian Regime and Congress Members from both sides of the aisle are applauding the effort.

The sanctions were levied on the Tehran Prisons Department for violating the human rights of those held there and committing brutal crimes, like torture, rape, and murder.

In the year following the nuclear deal; the West has removed sanctions on the volatile Gulf nation and Iran has still been able to create nuclear missiles, ironically with the money that was previously frozen in bank accounts in the West.

Born Addicted: The Tragic Tale of Drug Abuse in Iran

London, 19 Apr – Hundreds of babies in Iran were born addicted to drugs during 2016, according to government officials.

The state official, quoted in the state-run paper, Qanoon, on April 9, said: “In [the first nine months of 2016], 384 infants were born influenced by addictive drugs.”

McCain Praises Iranian Resistance

London, 18 Apr – Senator John McCain (R-AZ), Chair of the Senate Armed Services Committee, praised members the Iranian Resistance for standing up for freedom at a conference in Albania, earlier this month.

He said: “You have stood up and fought and sacrificed for freedom, for the right to live free, for the right to determine your own future, for the rights that are God-given. I thank you for being an example, an example to the whole world, that those people who are willing to fight and sacrifice for freedom will achieve it, and you are an example to everyone in the world that is struggling for (freedom).”

Trump Considers Tougher Sanctions on Iran

London, 18 Apr – The Trump administration is considering tougher sanctions on Iran, including using a much stricter interpretation on the current nuclear deal between Iran, the US and five other world powers.

A senior White House official told Foreign Policy that the Trump administration is considering being more rigorous with sanctions in the future, with the possibility of broadening US sanctions to include more companies that are linked with the Iranian terror squad, the IRGC.
